Welcome, everyone it’s Doctor Steven Davis at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. The latest area of interest happens to be the jawline. Now what’s so interesting about this is that probably about a year and a 1/2 to two years ago we started to see this transition from people really worrying so much about their cheekbones to now worrying more about their jawline and their neck and how that connects.

So what we’re saying now is the jaw is now the new cheekbone area to really correct. One of the really exciting things about this is that all the new products that we have available to us from neuromodulators like Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport can be utilized around the jawline and chin. And utilizing things like Voluma as a filler. Restylane Lyft, Juvederm Ultra Plus, these types of products if used properly can really augment or add to a weak chin for someone that may have something called a witch’s chin.

People that don’t really have a very sharp angle to their mandible, people that come in all the time and complain that their jaw runs right into their neck and there’s no separation of the two. We now have the capabilities of fixing that totally non-surgically and the beauty of it from a plastic surgeon’s perspective is it gives you the patient an opportunity to really see what it could look like if we wanted to do something more permanent like a surgical procedure.
