You know he’s a great surgeon. You know he’s got the best bedside manner. But did you know that Dr. Davis went to school on a tennis scholarship (Fact #1)? If you read the Wall Street Journal, you might. If you’re connected to Dr. Davis on Instagram (@davis_cps), Twitter or Facebook, you definitely do.
On May 4, the WSJ published an up-close and personal look at how Dr. Davis keeps his body—and mind—in shape in the article “A Plastic Surgeon Finds Boxing and Tennis Go Together.” Here are 4 more facts the WSJ shared about our Dr. Davis:
FACT: Dr. Davis works out at Joe Hand Boxing Gym in Philly.
It just so happens that this is also the gym that Jesse Hart trains at. Hart recently fought—and won—the undercard at the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in Vegas.
“I walked in the door and it was a no frills, real-deal boxing gym,” he told the WSJ. “I’ve yet to take a bad hit, but I do get called on at the gym to assess others who’ve been hit and might have a broken nose.”
FACT: Dr. Davis eats high protein, low carb.
Daily staples include protein shakes, protein bars, yogurt, chicken, fish, vegetables and fruit. Weekends he splurges on the good stuff—pasta and bread.
FACT: He has a gym in his home: treadmill, punching bag, the whole nine yards.
You don’t need the home gym to follow in Dr. Davis’ footsteps though. You can do that by picking up his Nike Free Trainer 5.0 v6 training shoes he wears for $100.
FACT: Dr. Davis has eclectic musical tastes.
Or, maybe, it’s just his sons’ influence.
“My iPod has everything you can imagine from Jay Z to Sinatra. You might hear a track by Andrea Bocelli followed by a song from Ne-Yo,” he told the WSJ.
As far as the idea that somehow boxing and tennis go together? As Dr. Davis explained to the news source, “You’re out there alone on the court or in the ring and it comes down to understanding what the other guy is going to do so you can counter it.”
Lately there’s been quite a buzz about a new skin tightening procedure, known as Forma. Look no further than Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery & Skin Spa. It’s suitable for all skin types and is appropriate for those seeking a non-surgical and natural looking approach to improvements in skin tightening.
