Different Ways We Perform an Upper Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)

If you’re someone who struggles to put on eye shadow due to excess skin, an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) may be the best option for you. Here at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery in Cherry Hill, NJ, and Northfield, NJ, there are a few ways we target the upper eyelid.

With more traditional surgery, we can perform an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) under a small amount of anesthesia, typically taking around an hour to complete. The alternate option would be to inject botox into the eyelid, something we refer to as a chemical eyelift.

Regardless of what you choose, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Davis is happy to help you with an upper eyelid lift so you can look and feel your best!

Hi, everyone. A lot of you are coming in to talk about your eyelids, and that is one of the most popular procedures that we do, and everybody that’s a plastic surgeon has been doing for many, many years. It’s a time-tested type of a procedure. It literally takes about an hour to do that procedure.

But for the most part, it’s what we call a blepharoplasty or an upper eyelid lift. And if I’m speaking to you and you’re the one that, you know, you’re looking in the mirror trying to get some eye shadow on or things like that, and you really just can’t get to your eyelid because there’s too much excess skin there, that’s why you need an upper eyelid lift.

Now, you can have that performed with a little bit of anesthesia and a little bit of a surgery, or if you’re someone that really has just a minimal amount of it, Botox injected in the proper locations can also cause, what we would say is, somewhat of a chemical brow lift or a Botox brow lift, and that can also help adjust some of that extra skin that you may be seeing resting on your eyelids.

Hi, everyone, listen, right now, I’m seeing so many patients that are coming in to talk to me about their neck and it may have something to do with Thanksgiving and the turkey and gobble and all that other stuff that you can make jokes about.

But the bottom line is at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, we purposely have got the stuff here that really allows us to do everything from a surgical procedure like a neck lift all the way out to doing multiple small things like radiofrequency microneedling, some Botox injections, or fillers in the neck. There’s so many different things that we can do depending on what you’re really concerned about.

Let me give you just a real few things. The first thing is some people are just concerned about the crepey quality of the skin. That’s not a surgical procedure. We can address that with different kinds of lasers, radiofrequency energy microneedling. If there’s necklace lines that you hate, we can get rid of that too with some injectable type of ideas.

So I just want to make sure that you know that’s not an area that you have to worry about any longer, because we can really address that all the way from a surgical type intervention all the way out to something as minimally invasive as just some lasering or some radiofrequency energy.
