– Hi, everyone. Dr. Steven Davis at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. One of the most popular procedures every year right after the summer, once we get into the fall, is something to do with sun exposed skin that have may have gotten very, very freckled.
Mostly, we see it in the decolletage area, the chest, the neck, and the face as well as the hands. And nowadays I’m even having patients coming and talk to me about their knees or their elbows that just may have gotten freckled, and a lot of discolored type of skin in comparison to the rest of their skin.
So that’s when we always bring in the great laser that we call the halo laser. And the halo laser is really stand alone type of laser as opposed to any other type of laser that you or your girlfriends or anybody else may have talked about, this halo laser really does a tremendous job in trying to do two very important things.
One thing is it try to stabilize and equal out the pigment that may be in your skin. So some people have this dyschromia, melasma, anything that has to do with like a tone difference in their skin. Sometimes it’s just in a small area like underneath the eyes, sometimes it’s on the cheek, or sometimes it can just include like a whole decolletage or neck area.
That laser called the halo laser does the best job in being able to go way after any skin type: African American, Asian, it doesn’t matter because this laser can treat all different skin types, that’s number one. Number two, simultaneously it goes after fine lines and wrinkles.
So it’s literally a home run when you’re talking about doing anything around the face, neck, or areas where you may have some crow’s feet, some very creepy type of skin underneath the eyes that’s also hyperpigmented.
If this sounds like something that you’re interested in, definitely make sure that you’re talking to your plastic surgeon, or you can call us at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and talk to us about the halo laser. Talk to you soon.
