Let’s Discuss De-Commoditization

June 9, 2021 by Davis

During a typical office hour, we may see up to 40 patients, and one conversation seems to come up repeatedly. In modern-day plastic surgery, basic procedures such as Botox have seemingly saturated the market. With starter-level surgeons now able to simply take a course and get certified for injectables, it feels as if certain products have become more commodified than others.

Here at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, we want to remind you that the quality of a product is just as important as the skill of the surgeon. By prioritizing quality procedures, we can begin the conversation of de-commoditization in terms of plastic surgery.

Listen in to today’s episode of The Plastic Surgery Revolution to learn more about how we are approaching the de-commoditization of plastic surgery.

Combination Therapies with Microneedling

June 4, 2021 by Davis

Microneedling may seem to be a very trivial process, but there’s something we’d like to let you know about how we can expand upon this procedure. In specific locations on the body, we can use several different types of combination therapies to maximize results. By combining radio frequency with microneedling, we can target certain areas of the body that many of our patients have similar requests about.

Did you know that with the combination of radio frequency and microneedling, we can now target the knee as well as parts of the arm? With zero downtime, the combination of these two treatments is one that can’t be overlooked.

Contact Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery to learn more about the areas we can target with both microneedling and radio frequency. The results will blow you away!

[Transcript]

Microneedling, something that you think is just a very trivial type of a thing that you can almost get done anywhere. I want to make sure that I’m calling your attention to something.

More and more of the literature is supporting the fact that doing proper microneedling in certain locations of the face and the body can stimulate incredible results for you. And if it’s done in a really elegant fashion we can super impose upon that microneedling.

Radio frequency energy and certain types of combination therapies that really make that skin rebound and look very, very youthful. And it’s done without having to do lasers or anything that’s really going to give you a long amount of downtime.

So recently, here at Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery we’ve been doing areas that you may not have even realized can be done with microneedling. I want to give you an example of a few. Number one has been around the knee area. The skin around the knees and around the thigh area where you would normally not want to use a laser. The microneedling with some radio frequency works unbelievably well.

Another area is the arm area because we have a lot of patients that have, may have, you know started doing an exercise regimen or started losing weight but the skin in that area doesn’t look so tight any longer. It may even have that crepey appearance. Believe it or not microneedling with some radio frequency energy in that area, can cause that area to look so much better.

And the last area that I want to mention is the decollete or the chest and neck region, where we really can address it in such an elegant fashion that there’s zero downtime, and you can really see a difference in the overall appearance of the skin. So check into that at daviscps.com.

May 26, 2021 by Davis

If you cut sugar out of your diet, would you expect to see results within the hour? Most likely not. But, after weeks of consistent dieting, you would see an incredible impact. At Davis Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, we experience the same types of results when it comes to consistent cosmetic treatments.

What we consider the “compound effect,” many different procedures such as facial fillers can result in an abundance of collagen production. This collagen production can provide permanent results which begin to compound treatment after treatment.

So, what are you waiting for? The “compound effect” is an incredible phenomena that is only a virtual consultation away!

Have You Considered “FLASH” Liposuction?

May 14, 2021 by Davis

Have you ever considered the “FLASH” liposuction treatment invented by Dr. Davis? If you haven’t before, you definitely should. As seen on Doctors Radio and the Dr. Oz show, “FLASH” liposuction is an incredible technique unique to our plastic surgery practice in Cherry Hill, NJ.

By utilizing a syringe-type approach, Dr. Davis can remove stubborn pockets of fat that just won’t go away even with diet and exercise. One of the incredible aspects of “FLASH ” liposuction is the ability to see instant results. After the procedure is finished, Dr. Davis can show you exactly how much fat was extracted.

If you haven’t heard of “FLASH” liposuction, it’s time to get in tune. Watch below as Dr. Steven Davis breaks down the magic behind this innovative technique to removing pockets of fat.

[Transcript]

Many years ago, I came up with something called FLASH, and it’s a way of doing liposuctioning in the office setting under straight local anesthesia. And the concept of it was really born out of the fact that we all probably have pockets of fat distributed around our body that we would just love to get rid of, and diet and exercise isn’t really helping to get rid of that small pocket.

Under just straight local anesthesia, I can actually inject that area and then use very, very, very fine instruments to very elegantly liposuction or lipo sculpt away that extra fat. And the beauty of it is it’s gone instantly. I can actually show you after we do the liposuction what I just removed and it’s all done with a syringe type of a technique. The little kit that I’ve put together actually allows me to do it almost anywhere.

We’ve done it on Dr. Oz, we’ve done it on the Doctor’s Show live in a studio audience. So the reason why I think it’s really so apropos right now is because so many of you come in for consultations about small areas of fat that you’re really having a tough time getting rid of. And instead of waiting to, like, watch what would happen after doing some other kinds of procedures.
If you really can localize it to an area that you really, really are trying to get rid of. All the exercises that you’re doing just doesn’t really make it go away, come in and talk about this FLASH liposuctioning technique. And I think you’ll really be surprised because we’re doing it almost every week.

We have at least three or four patients that we’re either doing a bra line, we’re doing inner knees, we’re doing arms, we’re doing all different kinds of things. And the beauty of it is that it can be actually used in tandem with some radio-frequency type things to actually cause the skin to tighten at the same time.

Let’s Talk About the Facial Skeleton

April 30, 2021 by Davis

It’s important the understand the structure of the facial skeleton and how cosmetic surgery affects it. When people begin to show significant signs of aging, there are a few factors that we evaluate when it comes to treatment. Whether it’s a receding jaw line affecting the appearance of teeth and lips or something else along those lines, we have a few ideal solutions for you to consider.

Join us as Dr. Steven Davis breaks out our facial skeleton model to cover a few basics on three-dimension lifting for the face. If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact us by clicking here.

[Transcript]

Hi everyone. No, I’m not gonna recite any soliloquies from Hamlet. I’m actually gonna talk to you a little bit about the facial skeleton. You know, as we get older, we not only start to lose some bony mass in our body when we talk about osteoporosis, but we also start to lose it in our facial skeleton.

And one of the reasons why I’ve gotten so excited about the High-tech Facelift is because we can actually start doing a three-dimensional type of a lifting of the face starting at the bony area and working outward. And that’s why something like this is really, really representative of what we’re talking about here.

As the jaw starts to recede, we start to notice that there’s some skin laxity around the jaw line and that’s when you start to lose some of that sharpness or that crispness that we see in the jaw line.

Also, don’t forget that a lot of times, as the maxilla starts to recede, people’s teeth start to look kind of odd and that makes the lips and everything else that you can imagine in that area start to look like it needs a little bit more support and that’s where we can start building from the facial cell skeleton outward.

So keep this in mind when you’re going next time for your facial injectables and instead of just concentrating, maybe, on the skin surface itself, start trying to think more in a three-dimensional fashion from the skeleton outward. And maybe next time I’ll do a little Hamlet for ya.
